Towards a green university Beni Suef University: President Organizing a competition to choose the best environmentally friendly college

Dr/Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector has organized a competition to choose the best environmentally friendly college at the level of university colleges and institutes, in line with the activities of  "Towards a Green University" initiative, the field evaluation of all colleges and institutes will start from 9-31 October, and the winning college will be announced on Sunday, 6 November
The president of the university explained that this competition coincides with the interest of the state and the world as a whole in the environment and facing the negative effects of climate changes, and Egypt's hosting of the climate conference, which will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh on November 6-18. It became necessary to educate students about the need to preserve the environment and not harm it

Dr/Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, added that there are foundations and criteria for environmental requirements that will be adopted to choose the best college, including green spaces inside and outside the building, beautifying the college’s facade, entrances and exits, cleanliness of the interior building, bathrooms and roofs, and directional and advertising boards.
