Dr/Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university will organize a symposium on the rights of the elderly in mid-October
The president of the university praised the role played by the Egyptian state during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi towards the elderly by providing comprehensive health care and launching awareness campaigns about aging and other diseases that affect the elderly, in addition to social protection programs through dignified life initiatives in its various forms
It is noteworthy that the International Day of the Elderly was endorsed by the United Nations as an annual global event that is commemorated on the first of October, in order to raise awareness of the problems facing the elderly, such as aging and abuse of the elderly, and to celebrate what the elderly have accomplished for society.
