Today, Beni Suef University hosted the 31st educational symposium of the armed forces, which was organized by the Popular Defense Forces To develop the spirit of loyalty and belonging among university youth and raise awareness of the dangers that threaten the Egyptian national security, in the presence of Major General , commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, Dr. Gamal Abdel Rahman, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, deans of faculties, and elite military leaders 
The attendees began the symposium by standing a minute of mourning for the souls of the martyrs of the armed forces who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation, praying to the Almighty to bestow mercy on them and dwell them in peace

The meeting was attended by Dr. Alaa Fawzy, the teacher at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, the lecturer at the Nasser Military Academy, and Mrs Nashwi Al-Hofy, the journalist writer, in the presence of a distinguished presence of members of the House of Representatives, the Senate, representatives of Al-Azhar and the Egyptian Church, and students The symposium’s activities witnessed a theatrical performance entitled “The House is Ours” for university students, and individual and group singing and religious chanting for the university’s choir team

For his part, Dr. Mansour Hassan welcomed Major General Staff of War, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, and the guest lecturers of the symposium, which aims to build and form awareness and correct knowledge of the dangers of national security threats, and to consolidate the values of loyalty and belonging to all university employees by hosting specialists in various fields to confront all attempts to confuse thought and falsify awareness that the enemies of the homeland seek

The university president stressed that the popular and military defense forces in the armed forces have a long and honorable history of heroism that they have built to preserve the homeland and its capabilities, in addition to the efforts they are making to protect the country’s internal front by confirming the permanent readiness to confront crises and disasters and strengthening the spirit of loyalty and belonging to the various sectors of the sons Egypt in schools and universities.
Mansour, the president of the university, indicated that the university's mission is not only limited to education, but it has other important roles in building awareness

Educating youth on various issues and immunizing their minds against attempts to polarize extremist ideology, stressing that the university is keen to implement many activities by organizing seminars in which the symbols of thought, religion, science, politics, art and sports will achieve these goals, in addition to activities and competitions that help students discover and develop their talents. and their capabilities in various fields
