Beni Suef University Council honors Finalist winners in Youth for Development initiative and the initiative's general coordinator

The Council of Beni Suef University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, in its 211st session, held this morning, honored the research teams that won the finalists in Youth for Development initiative launched by Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, within the “Human Development Forum” in cooperation with the Supreme Council for universities, in the areas of development projects and policy papers, with the participation of 70 research teams at the level of Egyptian universities.
 The council honored Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Hegab, university’s coordinator of the initiative and the winning team in the competition of the best “research project” entitled ''Supporting Health System'' that ranked second at the level of participating research teams under the supervision of Dr. Samraa Hussain Abdul Qawi at the Faculty of Medicine, and the membership of the researcher / Raghda Ramadan Farouk, assistant Lecturer at the Faculty Medicine, researcher /Asmaa Mahmoud Gaber, Demonstrator at the Faculty of Science, student / Hisham Hosni Hussein at the Faculty of Medicine, student / Radwa Ragab Abdel Rahman at the Faculty of Medicine, and student / Nour Al-Huda Nabil Ibrahim at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The honoring also included the winning research team in the competition of the best "working paper" entitled Preparing qualified teachers for the strategy of education reform, which ranked fourth under the supervision of Dr. Hala Abdel Qader Alsnosy and the membership of researcher / Ahmed Gamal Abdel Hamid, the teaching assistant, at the Faculty of Education, researcher /Amal Mohamed Kamel, Demonstrator at the Faculty of Education, student /Amira Badawi Owais at the Faculty of Computers, student / Islam Abdel Khaleq Younes at the Faculty of Education, and the student / Yasmine Sayed Abdel Azim at the Faculty of Commerce.

 The university president stressed that the initiative aims to encourage young people to think of innovative solutions to the problems discussed in the Egyptian Human Development Report, and to contribute to the government’s efforts to respond to the developmental requirements of the Egyptian society by putting forward an idea for a developmental project and formulating it in a way that allows it to be adopted by a financial institution in order to be implemented.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Hegab, general coordinator of the initiative, indicated that 14 research teams from the university participated in the initiative in the semi-finals that were held at the university, and all possible support was provided to students and researchers in accordance with the directives of the university president to find innovative solutions in both competitions to serve the Egyptian state.
