President of Beni Suef University: 536,000 visitors to university hospitals during the first half of this year

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, said today, Sunday, that the total number of visitors to Beni Suef University hospitals during the first half of this year 2022 has reached 536,000 citizens distributed among internal departments, outpatient clinics, emergency department, operations and reception, within the framework of the integrated treatment system carried out by Beni Suef University Hospitals to provide their services to the people of the governorate and neighboring governorates.
The university president stated that the university hospitals witnessed a noticeable increase in the number of visitors who received a distinguished medical service, medical examinations at clinics and performed surgeries, cardiac catheterization, and endoscopy. Pointing out that the increase in the number of visitors came as a result of the hospital's distinctiveness by the availability of a large number of faculty members who are experienced and qualified doctors, a nursing team at the highest level of training, in addition to the latest medical devices and technologies, and the comprehensive development of all intensive care rooms.
Prof. Dr. Atef Morsi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of University Hospitals Board of Directors, indicated that the reception department received 422,275 cases, and 9,997 cases were booked at the hospital’s internal departments in various medical specialties, while 57,930 cases visited the outpatient clinics.
Dr. Mohamed Shaaban, Executive Director of Beni Suef University Hospitals, confirmed that 33,224 operations were performed, 2,806 emergency operations, 5,752 emergency admissions, 1,075 endoscopic operations, 1,517 admissions for various cares, and 238 cardiac catheters. Providing RTB injections to dissolve clots at the neurological unit for 67 cases, conducting 958 surgical intervention cases on waiting lists, and totaling 376 incubator patients, and performing lithotripsy for 162 cases.
