Today, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the launch of the semi-finals for the work teams participating in the Youth for Development initiative, which was launched by Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, within the “Human Development Forum” in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Universities.
In the presence of Dr. Mumtaz Hijab, the university’s coordinator in the Human Development Forum, academic researchers, supervisors and supporting teams from the university participating in the initiative, as well as the participation of Dr. Dalia Sami, Deputy Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr. Muhammad Alaa, Advisor to the Minister of Planning for International Cooperation “Online”, where universities participate in the initiative. Beni Suef, Cairo, Ain Shams, Mansoura and Port Said.
Mansour Hassan explained that the initiative is based on introducing researchers to human development and linking it to public policies and development projects that the Egyptian government is working on. It was discussed by the Egyptian Human Development Report, and the contribution to the government’s efforts to respond to the development requirements of the Egyptian society by putting forward an idea for a development project and formulating it in a way that allows it to be adopted by a business incubator or financial institution for implementation on the ground.
For his part, Dr. Mumtaz Hegab, the general coordinator of the initiative, indicated that the committee formed by Dr. Tarif Shawqi and Dr. Hisham Bushra, the former deputies, Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Information, Dr. Ola Hammouda, professor at the Faculty of Science, and Dr. Najah Al-Rayes, professor at the Faculty of Politics and Economics, evaluated development projects and policy papers for the number 14 A research team in the framework of the semi-final liquidation in preparation for participation in the joint national project, pointing out that all participating teams and the associate team in the University Council were honored.
