Beni Suef University lights green in celebration of World Earth Day

Beni Suef University participated in the celebration of World Earth Day,  on Friday, April 22, by lighting the university in green from seven to nine in the evening, coinciding with the celebrations and holding some events to raise awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and activating the university’s role in preserving it, raising the level of social responsibility and contributing to reducing environmental pollution, and publishing a number of articles on the university’s official page to raise awareness of the importance of the environment and the dangers of pollution

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, stressed that the celebration of World Earth Day aims to spread awareness and interest in the natural environment of the planet, and it is an international celebration that is held annually in a large number of countries in the world in recognition of the collective responsibility towards the earth, through the call to preserve the earth, and reconciliation with nature and its biological diversity. Dr. Ahmed Allam, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sciences for People with Special Needs and University Coordinator at the Greater Cairo Universities , explained that the celebration witnessed the dissemination of awareness in sign language to urge everyone to preserve the environment, and pay attention to the aesthetic appearance within the university’s surroundings by taking care of trees and gardens inside the university, and making an awareness video to combat smoking, it will be shown on the university's website, and a documentary film to raise awareness of rationalizing water and energy consumption
