President of Beni Suef University Students of the Faculty of Science win the first phase of the Fund for the Care of Innovators and Geniuses

Prof Dr/Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today, that a team of students from the Faculty of Science won the first phase of the Fund for the Care of Innovators and Geniuses of the Ministry of Higher Education, with a funding of 40,000 pounds. as a first stage, and their transition to the second stage with a project entitled "Carbon Sequestration by Genetically Modified Microalgae for Biofuel Production".
Dr/Mansour explained that the project aims to develop an algae strain capable of fixing carbon dioxide more efficiently, which leads to mitigating global warming by cultivating these algae in highly polluted areas, which leads to an increase in algae biomass, which will be used in biofuel production
