Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university has achieved great progress in the Spanish classification of universities and research centers for 2022 (Scimago Institutions Ranking as the university succeeded in achieving sixth place at the level of Egyptian universities, tenth place at the level of Arab universities, and 653th globally).

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the classification of "Scimago" depends, in its evaluation of universities, on indicators of the university's research impact (50%), the extent to which the university stimulates innovation (30%), and the university's societal impact (20%), as these indicators highlight the scientific, economic and social characteristics. It includes scholarly leadership, research schools, international collaboration, excellence in publishing, university technology impact, innovative knowledge, university web volume, and number of university sub-networks.

 Prof. Dr. Sama Al-Daq, Director of International Classification Unit, indicated that the university's achievement of this advanced level was as a result of providing all the necessary capabilities to improve the educational and research system, in addition to providing all means of support to researchers and innovators at the university in all fields and specializations.
It is worth noting that 'Scimago' the 2022 Spanish International Classification of Universities and Research Centers included about 8,084 universities and research centers worldwide.
