President of Beni Suef University: Faculty of Pharmacy’s obtaining of quality and accreditation embodies the institutional capacity and educational effectiveness of university

Beni Suef University Council, headed by Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, university president, honored, in its 207th session, held this morning, Prof. Dr. Heba Salem, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Abdel Rahim Hussein, Director of Quality and Accreditation Unit at the university, Dr. Bassem Shehata and Dr. Tariq Shisha, Vice Deans of the Faculty, Dr. Hebat Allah Atef Director of the College’s Quality Unit, and Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad, College’s Information Technology Officer, after the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education issued a decision to grant a quality certificate to the College of Pharmacy after meeting all academic standards for quality requirements.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan stressed that the College of Pharmacy’s obtaining quality and accreditation embodies the institutional capacity and educational effectiveness of the university, stressing the university’s constant endeavor to provide the necessary resources and capabilities to develop the elements of the educational and research process to enable colleges and study programs to obtain quality and accreditation, explaining that accreditation and quality measurements from the side of the National Authority is based on strategic planning, administrative apparatus, organizational structure, financial resources, community service and community participation.
Prof. Dr. Heba Salem indicated that the accreditation criteria also included curricula and courses, the level of graduate studies and scientific research, and the ratio of the number of faculty members to the number of students, as the elements of educational, research and administrative system were reviewed and the performance of the entire system was evaluated after review stages.
Dr. Abdul Rahim Hussein, Director of Quality Assurance Center, explained that the College of Pharmacy applied for institutional accreditation from the National Authority last August, and the authority reviewed the college’s file, followed by virtual visits to the college by the authority’s reviewers team, and the decision was the college’s success in implementing the accreditation standards.
It is worth noting that Prof. Dr. Heba Salem, Dean of the College of Pharmacy has gifted the college shield to Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, due to his continuous support to the College and his outstanding efforts and tangible achievements at the university level.
