Today, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, witnessed a simulation model of the House of Representatives for students of university faculties, within the framework of the university’s keenness to spread awareness of the importance of parliamentary work among young people and familiarity with the mechanisms of parliamentary work, in the presence of Dr. Gamal Abdel Rahman, Vice President of the University for the Education and Student Sector, and Dr. Qayati Ashour, the academic supervisor of the model, and a number of specialists from the faculty members, in the presence of a remarkable number of students.
During his speech, Dr. Mansour Hassan stressed the importance of activating and strengthening the role of youth to assume leadership positions in line with the interest of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah ELSISI President of the Republic in empowering Egyptian youth and their strong participation at all levels, which was embodied by the World Youth Forum in Sharm El Sheikh, expressing his hope that the simulation model would come out with a number of recommendations that are positively reflected on the university, the governorate and the state.
The president of the university pointed out that the university spares no effort in supporting all activities aimed at training and qualifying students and spreading awareness among university youth, pointing out that the model of simulating the Egyptian Parliament provides an opportunity for university students to express their views and ideas on public issues of interest to Egyptian society and provides an opportunity for them to determine the priorities of society.
He added that the model is one of the types of qualifying training for university students and aims to familiarize them and provide them with the working mechanisms of the Egyptian Parliament, in addition to acquiring basic skills and raising their cognitive abilities to face future challenges.
It is worth noting that the model is based on an actual simulation of all parliament activities in terms of the number of committees and training students on parliamentary oversight tools, which helps them simulate an actual simulation of everything that happens inside the Egyptian parliament.
It is worth noting that Beni Suef University presented the Egyptian House of Representatives with a guideline to Parliament, on the occasion of the start of the second legislative term 2021-2026, where the university allocated a copy for each member of parliament.
