Dr/Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, met today with the team of the e-waste management project for university youth, under the auspices of the Arab Union for Youth and the Environment, and in the presence of Dr. Mamdouh Rashwan, Secretary-General of the Arab Union for Youth and Environment, Captain Mohamed Farouk, General  Director  of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and an activity specialist in youth welfare, in addition to participating students from various faculties, and the University’s Volunteering Unit

Dr. Mansour explained that the project consists of two parts, the first part is awareness seminars on e-waste management, and the second part is the establishment of e-waste collection points, which are points in an industrial education complex, a 330-acre complex, and a university-west complex, stressing that four containers have been sent and the number will be increased to six other containers, to be collected and a specialized  company  in this type of waste recycles it, provided that it is approved by the Ministry of Environment

It is worth noting that this program aims to train university youth and introduce them to the dangers of e-waste and spread the culture of safe disposal of it and benefit from and recycle it in safe ways through specialized companies which  approved by waste management regulators, especially since e-waste has become an environmental problem in light of technological progress and  Young people updating  to the devices they own, such as mobiles and computers, and the accumulation of old devices
