During the “Able to Challenge” celebration, the President of Beni Suef University launches “Society without Disability” initiative to raise awareness against bullying

Today, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, witnessed the celebration of the International Day of the Disability Challenger, which was organized by the university’s community service sector In cooperation with the College of Special Needs Sciences and the Unit of  Disabilities Challengers under the slogan "Able to Challenge"
The celebration was attended by Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Ihsan Abu Zeid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Dr. Heba Abu El-Nile, Dean of the Faculty of Science with Special Needs, and a number of civil society organizations, in the presence of a remarkable presence of journalists and media professionals in the governorate, and a number of Students with special need in the various faculties of the university
The celebration activities included various artistic, theatrical and sports performances, a marathon for people with special needs, a theatrical presentation on the difficulty of learning presented by students from the College of Science with Special Needs, and the opening of the art exhibition for industrial products made by people with special needs
Dr. Mansour indicated that the goal of the celebration is to make a community interaction to care and fulfill the rights of people with special needs so that they become influential members of society, in the belief of the university that they have special abilities, and distinguished people have appeared from them in all cultural, scientific, literary, artistic and sports fields, stressing the importance of the role of the university and  Civil society organizations in raising awareness and providing care for families that have  children with special needs 
Dr. Mansour Hassan stressed the university’s keenness to inculcate a culture of rehabilitation for people with disabilities, and to work to integrate them into society, and that the university spares no effort in providing full support to  graduates with disabilities  announcing the launch of the “Community Without Disabilities to raise  Awareness Against Bullying” initiative in Beni Suef Governorate, to provide Psychological and moral support  for  people with disabilities and the best methods of dealing with them, in addition to the means of family counseling

The president of the university stressed the overcoming of all obstacles that may face the challengers with disabilities and facilitating all their procedures while exempting them from tuition fees, in addition to providing scholarships for postgraduate students in all faculties for students with special needs
At the conclusion of the celebration, Dr. Mansour honored six parents of students with disabilities, and a number of people with disabilities were given headphones and a stick for the blind from inside and outside the university
