President of Beni Suef University inaugurates the Department of Electrical Engineering and confirms that we aim to graduate engineers with high capabilities

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, inaugurated today the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering in the disciplines of "electronics, communications, power and electrical machines" in the two-semester system where the department contains laboratories of electrical power systems, electrical installations, new and renewable energy, electrical machines and transformers, electrical basics, and embedded systems, at a cost of 6 million pounds

In the presence of Dr. Gamal Abdel Rahman, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Hassan, Dean of the College, Dr. Hanan Suleiman, a member of the Senate, faculty deputies and faculty members, Dr. Mohamed Obeid, director of Speranza company, who is responsible for supplying equipment, and students

Dr. Mansour said that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, issued the ministerial decision regarding the issuance of the internal regulations for the bachelor’s stage, in the two-semester system at the Faculty of Engineering, after the approval of the Engineering Sector Committee on the opening of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, and the adoption of the regulation of reference framework 2020 for the departments of Civil and Architectural Engineering. Stressing that the university will not delay in serving its students and the Swuefs community, as the university is keen to provide all disciplines that meet the needs of the labor market within the province of Beni Suef.

Dr/Mansour stressed the provision of all material and human capabilities to the new department, and the completion of the necessary preparations, especially laboratories, explaining that the department aims to graduate engineers with high capabilities in the fields of electrical engineering, and qualify them to work in industrial institutions, especially since Beni Suef governorate is one of the most promising governorates in the field of industry, and it has many distinguished industrial zones and global factories with investments that keep pace with the state’s plan towards sustainable development and the realization of Egypt’s 2030 vision

The President of the University added that the College of Engineering is considered one of the educational and research colleges with a positive and bright face in the higher education sector, and it is a scientific edifice that works on qualifying qualified specialists to keep pace with global technical development and progress, and that the university is working to open many new departments within the colleges, in which  the study go in line with  the Technological progress in it to meet the needs of the labor market, in addition to the development of other departments by introducing a number of modern educational and technical methods

Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan, Dean of the College of Engineering and the faculty members thanked and appreciated Dr. Mansour Hassan for the continuous support of the college and his keenness to complete the departments, and to meet the needs of students by opening the new department so that the departments within the college became 3 main departments and a program of credit hours

The students expressed their happiness at the opening of the new department, because of its advantages, expressing their thanks to Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, for his response to their demands, and the opening of the new department, which has been long awaited for years, so that the president of the university fulfilled their dreams by opening the department and saving the hardship of traveling to engineering faculties in other universities to join this department

In the end, Dr. Ahmed Hassan presented the college shield to Dr. Mansour Hassan, the president of the university, due to his efforts and the services he provides to the students of the college
