Beni Suef University Council approves the "Ambassadors of the
Media Center
The Council of Beni Suef University, headed by Prof.Dr/ Mansour Hassan, President of the University, in its 201st session, in the presence of the university’s vice presidents, deans of faculties and members of the Council, approved the proposal of the Faculty of Special Needs Sciences to hold the celebration the International White Cane Day will be held on 15 October, in addition to holding a permanent exhibition at the college for student products such as tools and paintings
The Council also approved the proposal of the "Ambassadors of the Blind" initiative at the beginning of the new academic year 2021/2022 with the aim of integrating blind university students into the university community and helping them adapt to their colleagues
Dr. Mansour stated that the aim of the university's ambassadors for the blind initiative is to help them in the process of adapting to face the difficulties when they move from high school to university and assisting them in solving their problems, such as choosing departments, transferring from colleges or departments, introducing the university and college, and communicating with department professors in order to overcome any obstacles they might face
The President of Beni Suef University indicated that the students targeted by the initiative are blind university students, especially first-year students in the various faculties and departments of the university
