Today, Tuesday, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, chaired the meetings of the University Performance Development Center and the Higher Committee for Supervising Scientific Journals, in the presence of Dr. Fatima Hassan, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Gamal Abdel Rahman, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Mustafa, director of the University Performance Development Center, and Dr. Maha Ahmed, supervisor of the Higher Committee and members of the two boards of directors .
During the two meetings, the President of the University stressed that obtaining the vaccine became a condition for attending all official meetings and university events, stressing the completion of receiving vaccinations for the Corona virus before the beginning of the academic year for all students, workers and faculty members, with the need to follow precautionary measures to prevent infection with the virus .
During the meeting of the University Performance Development Center, the Council agreed to hold a workshop on preparing research projects for theoretical faculties in the Faculties of Law and Sciences for People with Special Needs, and to hold a workshop to introduce the documentary course of research projects for faculty members and their assistants at the Faculty of Science, in addition to holding a series of workshops in the various faculties of the university related to the first announcement of the scholarships.
During the meeting of the Supreme Committee for the Supervision of Scientific Journals, several topics were discussed, including the preparations and the ingredients for placing journals on Clarivate & Scopus databases, by addressing journals issued in Arabic on the need for the research to fulfill the following elements in preparation for examining those journals and including them in Scopus, namely: The title of the research in English The name of the researcher, the job and the university to which he belongs in English, the summary in English, the keywords, and he also agreed to divide the journals’ account for each journal a single account, stressing that the arbitration shall be done by at least 2 arbitrators, taking into account the rules followed for arbitration.
