President of Beni Suef University honors 27 young researchers who have won funding for research projects

Today, Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, honored 27 young researchers at the university who have won funding for research projects for the assisting body "Young Researchers" in the fourth phase, funded by the university, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Gamal Abdel Rahman, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Al-Deeb, Executive Director of the University Performance Development Center.

 Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan said that the fourth phase includes seven colleges including the College of Science, funded by 5 projects, the College of Pharmacy, funded by 6 projects, the College of Veterinary Medicine, funded by 9 projects, the College of Technology and Education funded by 3 projects, the College of Graduate Studies for Advanced Science funded by two projects, and the College of Medicine funded by one project. 

The University President explained that the Research Projects Support and Financing Office affiliated to the University Performance Development Center always works to assist faculty members and the assisting body to perform their researches and develop their performance in writing research project proposals, pushing them to innovate and link research projects to solve the problems of the surrounding community, stressing that the office has uploaded all research projects funded from abroad on the platform of the Ministry of Higher Education and seeks to support projects related to the sustainable development goals and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

The University President referred to financing of 22 competitive research projects for the seventh phase, "the current phase" for faculty members, as the funding included the basic, medical and engineering science, and the social and human science sector, with the financing of 15 research projects for the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine and Graduate Studies for Advanced Science and Science, by 3 research projects for each college, and a research project for the College of Physical Education, the Institute of Laser Research and Applications, and the College of Nursing.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mostafa El-Deeb, Executive Director of the University Performance Development Center, thanked Beni Suef University President for his continuous support to faculty members and the assisting body to facilitate procedures and overcome obstacles to obtain funding for research projects, whether within the university or external funding bodies.

During their speech, the young researchers expressed their thanks to Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, for his continuous support for faculty members and their assistants at the university, and his constant endeavor to provide researchers with all they need from the latest tools and programs that help them to produce researches in the best possible way and to finance projects and researches submitted by researchers, which was evident in the progress the university has been achieved in international rankings in recent years.
