Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university ranked 201-250 among the best universities in the British Times Higher Education classification for 2021 for young universities among the top 10 Egyptian universities.

The university president pointed out that the reason is due to the remarkable rise of the university this year in many axes compared to last year, including the increase in the number of published researches, the high rates of qualitative citations and the increase in the number of international students, as the university maintained the evaluation rate in the international relations standard. The university has made remarkable progress in terms of income from industry, due to the university's distinction in the presence of specialized colleges and institutes.

He explained that the classification depends on five main indicators with a number of sub-criteria in the areas of: education, scientific research, citations, international relations and knowledge transfer.
The President of Beni Suef University stressed that the reason for the university’s high ranking globally and locally came as a result of a clear plan and goals taken by the university as a way for excellence, as it harnessed all its energies and capabilities to achieve them, and that the university was one of the leading Egyptian universities in establishing an international classification office affiliated to the University Performance Development Unit, which in turn analyzed strengths and weaknesses and worked on developing strategies to raise the international ranking of the university, which resulted in significant progress.

Dr. Sama Emam Al-Daq, Director of the International Classification Office at the university, said that the office works through a strategic plan under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, and that the office has many activities, the most important of which is the preparation and organization of many specialized courses in writing scientific researches, and the office also collects and analyzes data and uploads it to the international classification sites supported by the required documents.
