Beni Suef University hosts the Republic Men's Cycling Championship

Today, Friday, Beni Suef University hosted the Republic Cycling Championship for Men, in cooperation with the Egyptian Cycling Sports Federation, with participation of Beni Suef Sports Club, Qarun Sports Club in Fayoum, Military Institution Club in Minya, Mansoura Sports Stadium, Youth Sports Club in Beni Suef, Beni Suef Teachers Club, Military Institution in Suez, and the Republican Victory Club.
The tournament was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, and in the presence and supervision of Captain / Hisham Fakhry, member of the Egyptian Federation and the African Cycling Union, Captain / Ahmed Tarek Abu Al-Makarem, Director of Beni Suef Cycling District, and a number of leaders of the Faculty of Physical Education.

The university president indicated that this comes within the framework of university’s plan to expand bridges of cooperation with many sports institutions, and that hosting of the competitions by Beni Suef University is an affirmation of the sports federations’ confidence in Beni Suef University capabilities, which has succeeded in hosting many valuable events and activities in the previous years. 

It is worth noting that the President of Beni Suef University received Captain / Hisham Fakhry, member of the Egyptian Federation and the African Cycling Union, and Captain / Ahmed Tarek Abu Al-Makarem, Director of Beni Suef Cycling District, last week, and the meeting dealt with many files, including the agreement to sign a cooperation protocol between the university and the Egyptian Cycling Federation, and studying the creation of a bicycle division at the Faculty of Physical Education, and the establishing a headquarters for the Federation and a training center in cooperation between the Faculty of Physical Education at the university, in addition to studying the establishment of the Egyptian Cycling League competition at the university campus in the coming days.
