President of Beni Suef University: The Higher Institute of Heritage and Folklore is the first of its kind at the level of Egyptian universities

Today, Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, inspected the Higher Institute of Heritage and Folklore, as it is the first institute at the level of Egyptian universities, which is unique to Beni Suef University in preparation for the start of studies next year, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Gouda Mabrouk, Dean of the Institute.
Prof. Dr. Mansour inspected the laboratories, teaching halls, music halls, as well as the administrative annex of the institute, expressing his admiration for what was done on the ground in this institute, and stressing his keen interest in making the institute an environment for the dissemination of arts at the level of Egypt through its human and material resources.
The university president pointed out that the institute includes five departments including the Department of Folk Performing Arts, which is based on the specializations of folk music and folk theatre, and the Department of Folk Literature, which is based on the specialization of folk literature and oral traditions, in addition to the Department of Folk Formation Arts and Material Culture It is based on the specialization of folk formation arts and material culture, and the Department of Customs, Beliefs and Folk Knowledge, in addition to the Department of Folklore Curriculum and Preservation Techniques.
