President of Beni Suef University signs a cooperation protocol with the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology for West Asia

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, and Dr. Eng. Awni Muhammad Al-Khasawneh, Director General of the Regional Center for the Teaching of Space Science and Technology for West Asia / United Nations, based in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, signed a cooperation protocol “Online” through the Microsoft program
and that for cooperation in the field of space science and technology, in the presence of Dr. Osama Shalabia, Dean of the College of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology, and a number of faculty members
In his speech, Dr. Mansour welcomed the Director-General of the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology for West Asia / United Nations and the joint cooperation between the university and the regional center, stressing that Beni Suef University is one of the leading Egyptian universities, which includes 33 colleges in addition to unique colleges at the level of Egyptian and Arab universities In the Middle East, among those colleges are Navigation Science and Space Technology at Beni Suef University, as the first Egyptian college specialized in the study of space science and technology and its applications
The President of Beni Suef University explained that the cooperation between the two parties will include developing and building capacities in the field of space science and technology, remote sensing satellite technology and its applications, space technology and artificial intelligence, space environment studies and astronomy, communications and space navigation systems, monitoring and control of climate changes, and technology systems. Information in the field of space science and technology, and the granting of joint scientific degrees subject to the regular methods agreed upon between the two parties by a diploma, a bachelor’s degree, and a master’s degree through the specialized academic departments; And publishing in the scientific journals of the two parties, in addition to other fields agreed upon by the two parties
Dr. Eng. Awni Muhammad Al-Khasawneh, General Director of the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology, welcomed the cooperation with Beni Suef University in the fields of space science and technology, praising Beni Suef University and its unique colleges in the Middle East, including the College of Space Sciences and Navigation Technology
He stressed that the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology for West Asia is a specialized regional organization that operates under the auspices of the United Nations Office Space Affairs, based in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Space, meteorology, and space law, holding short, medium and long-term courses in these disciplines, developing the skills and knowledge of university professors and scientific research scientists, helping teachers develop curricula for space sciences and astronomy, and developing space communication skills
