Beni Suef University Council approves an academic cooperation and student exchange agreement with Hiroshima University of Japan

Beni Suef University Council, headed by Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, today, in its 194th session, approved on the academic cooperation and student exchange program with Hiroshima University of Japan, within the framework of enhancing academic exchange between the two sides in order to enrich their educational experiences.

The university president explained that the two parties have agreed to cooperate in many academic fields, the most important of which is the mutual student exchange program based on the principles of mutual benefit, and the promotion of cooperative international learning via the Internet, in addition to many other activities that work to enhance student exchange, pointing out that Hiroshima University of Japan has approved the admission of five students from the university and getting scholarships in the educational sector, health science and food safety.

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan directed his full thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Higab, university's coordinator for cooperation with the Japanese side, for his great effort to complete this cooperation. The university president also appreciated the role of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Azazi, Head of Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector, and Dr. Hani El-Shimi, Egyptian Cultural Attaché in Japan, to coordinate this cooperation.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Higab indicated that seven universities are involved in this cooperation and the distinguished program including from the Egyptian side, Universities of Beni Suef, Cairo, Ain Shams, Aswan, and the Universities of Malawi and Zambia representing the African side, and a total of 12 students for all participating universities. Beni Suef University got five Students from a total of participating students, indicating that the winning students attended the first introductory meeting with the Japanese side of the “Peace Science of Hiroshima” program.
It is worth mentioning that the Japanese side praised the role of Beni Suef University and its insistence on cooperation in addition to its  strategic plan and a clear vision in international cooperation, and the two parties also stressed the importance of joint cooperation with the African side represented in the triangular cooperation with the University of Hiroshima and the Universities of Malawi and Zambia.
