President of Beni Suef University: Signing a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Space Agency and the Faculty of Navigation Sciences

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, witnessed today the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Space Agency and the College of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology And in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Khalil Iraqi, Deputy Executive President of the Egyptian Space Agency, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Director of the Educational Satellite Project, Dr. Osama Shalabya, Dean of the College, and the agents and students, the top academic teams in the college
The university president explained that the protocol aims to establish a laboratory for educational satellites at the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology through an educational portal of the Egyptian Space Agency to unify the space knowledge system in Egypt, and to give the recent graduate student practical training in the field of space with an understanding and exploration of the main concepts to design electronic systems, mechanical systems and associated software, in addition to systems engineering processes for all subsystems and spacecraft functions in general, and to provide an integrated theoretical and practical approach to teaching space science and technology that includes exercises and lectures attached to the laboratory to give the student practical experience in testing and operating satellites, as well as motivating the student to Designing their own satellite systems, operating it through the moon, and entering local and international competitions in the same field.
It is worth noting that the educational satellites lab consists of five main components: an educational satellite model for applications (communications - remote sensing - space environment)
simulators  for   operating and testing the  Satellite, equipment for operating scientific experiments on the educational satellite, a ground station simulation unit with the educational satellite operating software and its various applications, and an integrated curriculum for teaching space science and technology that includes exercises and attached lectures.
A documentary presentation was presented by the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology and the Egyptian Space Agency, and Dr. Mansour Hassan presented the University’s shield to Dr. Mohamed Khalil Iraqi, Deputy Executive President of the Egyptian Space Agency, in honor of the efforts made in cooperation with the university.
