For the first time, Beni Suef University appears in the "Pharmaceutics and Toxicology" sector globally, according to the US New American classification

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that Beni Suef University appears for the first time in the classification of the pharmaceutical and toxicology sector, where the university ranked 242 globally in this field
This came according to the US New American classification, as it ranked eighth at the level of Egyptian universities, with in 19 Egyptian universities this year, while the university was ranked 1012 globally among the best universities, which number more than 25 thousand universities, and 32 at the African level
Dr. Mansour emphasized the diversity of international university rankings, including Spanish, American, English and Chinese, and each classification depends on several criteria related to scientific research, international publishing, international cooperation, standards of quality of education, employment of graduates, and the university’s relationship with industry
The university president explained that the US news classification is based on several criteria, most of it are totally related to scientific research and international publishing, which is research reputation globally and regionally, at equal rates of 12.5% each, and international publishing represents 10%, international books 2.5%, and international conferences 2 5%, specific citation rates 10%, the total number of citations 7.5%, the number of researches in journals that has been cited in the first quarter (Qia) 12.5%, and the percentage of research in journals cited in the first quarter (Qia) 10 5%, international cooperation 5%, the number of published papers in cooperation with international researchers 5%, the number of the highest-cited papers within the top 1%, weighing 5%, and the percentage of the highest-cited research. Dr. Mansour Hassan indicated that the success achieved by the university as a result of the indicators of the strategic plan set to support the upgrading of the classification by the University Performance Development Center and the Office of International Classification and Sustainable Development in order to support scientific research and develop its outputs within one of the university administration goals to achieve Egypt's vision 2030 to achieve sustainable development goals
