Today, Beni Suef Doctors Syndicate honored Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, in appreciation of his efforts in Corona pandemic, in the celebration held by the Syndicate at the Tulip Hotel in Beni Suef to honor the families of White Army martyrs in the governorate in addition to honoring a number of doctors participating in hospitals of isolation in the governorate, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghneim, Governor of Beni Suef, Dr. Nagwa El Shafei, Undersecretary of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, Dr. Mostafa Haroun, Head of Beni Suef Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Mohamed Youssef, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Hassan Soliman, General Director of Health Insurance Branch in Beni Suef, and a number of doctors and leaders of the Governorate.

The university president said during his speech, "I am happy with this honor as a doctor in Egypt, and the words of thanks fail to describe what the medical teams provided including doctors, nurses, and all workers in the health system in Egypt and Beni Suef Governorate, especially during the difficult period that Egypt went through of Corona pandemic." He praised the role played by President / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the vision of the political leadership in managing the crisis and the presidential decisions that were taken in the interest of the safety of citizens, announcing that the children of martyrs of medical personnel from White Army, including doctors, nursing, and health system workers, will be exempt from tuition fees for 2020/2021 academic year at all different university faculties.

Prof. Dr. Mansour confirmed that the university has put all its material and human capabilities to provide all the needs of medicines and medical supplies to support the state’s efforts in combating Corona virus and preventing its spread, and an isolation building has been allocated for treating people with Corona virus that contains 63 super-intensive care beds, 28 ventilators, and 25 intermediate care beds, in addition to the allocation of two buildings at the university city with a capacity of 480 beds to treat people with corona virus, whose symptoms range from mild to moderate under medical supervision from the university hospital.

Prof. Dr. Mansour added that a number of campaigns to disinfect and sterilize car parks and governmental departments against Corona virus were carried out in a number of governorate centers in order to ensure the safety of citizens and to implement the university’s plan for community participation, in addition to the university’s reception of returnees from abroad after providing all the equipment for sterilization and disinfection. 

Dr. Mustafa Haroun, Head of Beni Suef Doctors Syndicate, praised Dr. Mansour Hassan's role in cooperating during Corona pandemic, thanking him and all doctors for their support in facing Corona crisis.
