President of Beni Suef University receives the Indonesian Embassy delegation in Cairo to discuss ways of joint cooperation

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, received today, Mr. Mohamed Aji Soria, Officer-in-Charge of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Cairo, and Dr. Bambang Sur Yadi, Educational and Cultural Advisor at the embassy, ??at the head of a high-level delegation from the embassy in a visit to the university to discuss ways of joint cooperation in the academic and research side. This was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Fatma Hassan, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Hussam Nassar, Director of the Expatriate Admistration, and Dr. Sherif El-Gayar, Professor at the Faculty of Arts.
During the meeting with the embassy delegation, Prof. Dr. Mansour reviewed the university’s vision to open areas of academic and research cooperation with all different universities around the world within the framework of the state’s plan, indicating that the university has international students representing 17 different nationalities and all facilities are provided to them during their studies, expressing the university’s readiness to open joint cooperation between Beni Suef University and Indonesian universities through exchange visits for faculty members and scientific scholarships for students, in addition to making the study available to Indonesian students within the various faculties of Beni Suef University.
Prof. Dr. Mansour indicated that the university has distinct faculties and institutes totaling 33 colleges and institutes, distributed over three compounds; west Nile compound, Industrial Education 55 acres, and 330 acres east of the Nile. It is distinguished from other universities in Egypt and the Middle East with the Faculties of Navigation Science and Space Technology, Special Needs Science, Postgraduate Studies for Advanced Science and many new distinguished programs and divisions.
The Acting Ambassador of Indonesia thanked Prof. Dr. Mansour, President of the University for his warm reception and his accompanying delegation during his first visit to the University, expressing his admiration for what he saw during his tour of the university's faculties and Expatriates Administration, stressing that there will be joint cooperation between Beni Suef University and Indonesian universities.
He pointed out that the embassy has the Indonesian Cultural Center in Cairo, and that Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan was offered to open a branch of the center inside the university to teach students the Indonesian language for free, while the university president expressed his admiration for this idea and that he is keen to provide all facilities to teach university students different languages.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan presented the University Shield and a booklet containing the various faculties and programs of the university to the embassy delegation in appreciation of their visit, and the embassy delegation presented a souvenir to Prof. Dr. Mansour for a good reception. At the end of their tour, the delegation toured the three university compounds to see the colleges and transfer expertise to the Indonesian universities .
