Dialysis Unit opened for Corona patients at Beni Suef University Hospital

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that a new dialysis unit for Corona virus patients has been opened and operated by the strength of four devices, two of them are at the intensive care and two other devices for dialysis patients suspected of having Corona virus who are registered in the university hospital for weekly dialysis sessions.
This is to avoid the infection among patients and to interact with them with the utmost preventive protection for the medical and nursing team as well as for the patients themselves.
Prof. Dr. Atef Morsy, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Hospital’s Board of Directors, explained that the unit was created specifically for Corona patients on the hospital’s fifth floor, unlike the original dialysis unit on the hospital’s ground floor, which includes 36 dialysis machines that operate throughout the week.
Dr. Mohamed Shaaban, the hospital's director, said that the isolation units for Corona's patients at the hospital include 83 beds, all of which were supported by a gases network, connecting monitors, and providing a large number of ventilators to transform all of these beds into intensive care ones.
