President of Beni Suef University receives delegation from Ministry of Higher Education

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, received, today, a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education, which includes Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hinnawi, Director of New Programs, Projects Department at the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Mohamed Salah, former Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, Benha University, Dr. Nabila Mohamed Hassan, Dean of the College of Computers and Information, Fayoum University, Dr. Mohamed Hashem, Professor of Computers at Ain Shams University, Dr. Mumtaz Hijab, Divisions and New Programs Coordinator at the University, and Dr. Hamdi Mahmoud, General Coordinator of Medical Informatics Programs at Beni Suef University.
Prof. Dr. Mansour said that the meeting dealt with the importance of new programs, among which is the medical informatics program, plans for developing future programs, employing new graduates, and discussing partnership with international bodies.
The University President explained that the medical information program grants the Bachelor’s degree in Computers and Information in Medical Informatics in cooperation between the College of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, the College of Medicine, the duration of the program is 4 years and the study is in English (144 credit hours), indicating the program accepts high school graduates.
It is distinguished by the presence of unique specializations that qualify the graduate to design and develop medical technology that contributes to the early detection of cancers and the analysis of diseases in a quantitative and digital manner that helps doctors in the accurate diagnosis of diseases, as it helps surgeons in planning surgical operations before they are performed, as well as training students in practice within the laboratories of the Faculty of Medicine, hospitals and medical centers and in various medical institutions.
