Under the slogan "Academic Excellence", Beni Suef University showcases the achievements of the Training and Conferences Office during the year.

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the University Performance Development Center, under the supervision of Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad, Director of the Center, reviewed the achievements report of the Training and Conferences Office for the 2025/2026 academic year. The report was prepared by Dr. Fatima Hanafi, Director of the Office, with the participation of the Office's administrative team. This initiative reflects the University's commitment to supporting training and capacity building, enhancing the skills of researchers, students, and staff, and contributing to the improvement of scientific research quality and the achievement of the University's goals of academic and research excellence.
Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that the University continues to implement training and awareness programs that contribute to raising the efficiency of researchers, students, and administrators, increasing awareness of research ethics, mechanisms for obtaining grants and scholarships, and protecting intellectual property and patents. This supports the scientific research system and strengthens Beni Suef University's position both locally and internationally.
The report highlighted the office's success in establishing its institutional identity, overseeing the organization of the scientific citation course, and managing numerous training activities and programs implemented by the center in collaboration with its various offices. It also noted the organization of 27 scientific citation courses, benefiting 1,139 researchers. Of these, 62% were conducted remotely, while 38% were held in person, providing researchers with greater flexibility in accessing training programs.
Furthermore, the Training and Conferences Office organized 32 training events in collaboration with the offices of the Center for University Performance Development. These events benefited approximately 1,280 university affiliates, including 75% researchers, 25% students, and 2% administrative staff. 78% of the events were held in person, while 22% were conducted remotely.
These events included several specialized training series, most notably the series on preparing researchers for distinguished international publications, the series on preparing researchers to obtain research project funding from the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF), and the series on developing administrative skills for postgraduate studies staff, all in collaboration with several of the center's offices.
The events also included collaboration with Dr. Yasser Gaber, the university president's scientific advisor, who lectured in four introductory seminars on international publishing. Additionally, Dr. Fatima Hanafi, secretary of the Higher Committee for Research Ethics, participated in three events addressing research ethics and their importance in supporting the quality of research outputs.
The report indicated that the training activities targeted members of 14 faculties: Nursery, Dental Medicine, Physical Therapy, Veterinary Medicine, Science, Agriculture, Commerce, Social Work, Tourism and Hotels, Mass Communication, Applied Health Sciences Technology, Navigation and Space Sciences Technology, and Engineering.
