Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Nursing at Beni Suef University celebrated the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The event was supervised by Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hanan Al-Zablawy Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, and coordinated by Dr. Faten Saeed, Supervisor of the Faculty's Occupational Safety and Health Unit.
Celebrated annually on April 28, the day aims to raise awareness of the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases worldwide. This awareness campaign aims to draw international attention to the magnitude of the problem and how promoting and instilling a culture of safety and health can help reduce the number of work-related deaths and injuries.
Hence, the nursing team's responsibility to promote a culture of health awareness and compliance with occupational health and safety laws and policies. It also bears the responsibility of ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, working safely, protecting individuals, not endangering others, and participating in implementing preventive measures.
