President of Beni Suef University reveals the university's most prominent achievements during 2024

Beni Suef University, headed by Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, witnessed a boom and a qualitative leap during the year 2024 and achieved many unprecedented achievements in the history of regional universities in general and Upper Egypt in particular in many fields, as the university has new and unique faculties and programs at the local and regional levels, and the number of faculties and institutes reached 33 faculties and institutes that meet the needs of the labor market, in accordance with the strategic goals of the university and the national plan for Egypt 2030.

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, pointed out that one of the most prominent achievements of Beni Suef University this year is the university's participation in the initiative of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, "A New Beginning" to build the human being, through the launch of many comprehensive veterinary medical awareness convoys for a number of villages, including Abu Sir village affiliated to Al-Wasta Center, Maimoun village affiliated to Al-Wasta Center, Sharif Pasha village affiliated to Beni Suef Center, Bani Adi village affiliated to Nasser Center, and "Kom Al-Sa'aida" village in Beba Center, with the participation of the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Faculty of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Developmental Social Work, and Faculty of Special Needs Science. Medical examinations were conducted in each village for more than a thousand cases in the specialties of pediatrics, orthopedics, internal medicine, dermatology, general surgery, nose and ear, and medicines were dispensed free of charge, in addition to sharing various social media materials on awareness topics such as bullying of children, how to raise health and prevent mental illnesses, the importance of childbirth and breastfeeding, and holding a number of awareness lectures on contemporary issues including (the beginning of family disintegration on the individual, family and society - family planning - building good morals - the negative impact of social media - protection is better than treatment - focusing on the safety of the human soul - the virtue of volunteer work. The College of Technology and Education also participated in the "Egyptian Industrialists" initiative and implemented many activities that were implemented in one of the laboratories of the Department of Operations Control at the college, where students were practically trained on home electrical installations and connections, through the home model designed in the laboratory, which simulates a house consisting of an entrance and three rooms.

Regarding the international classification and scientific research file, he explained that the university achieved 65th place in the Arab world and 24th place locally during the past year according to the result of the Arab classification for Arab Universities for the year 2024, with the participation of 180 Arab universities from 16 countries, including 48 Egyptian universities, and it achieved the 9th place locally and 434th globally, according to the result of the UI Green Metric Global Classification 2024 (Green Universities Classification), where the classification studies the university's achievement of sustainable development goals, and the university ranked from 1080 - 1061 globally and 31st in Africa and 11th at the level of Egyptian universities in the QS Sustainability Classification (Environment, Society and Sustainable Development) for the year 2025, QS WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS, ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT RANKED 2025. The university also achieved the highest ratings in environmental sustainability, achieving the 787th place globally, as the classification ranked 1744 universities from the world's universities in the field of sustainability, including 70 universities in Africa and 26 Egyptian universities. The university ranked 9th locally and among the top 70 Arab universities according to the Times Higher Education rankings, and ranked 111th globally and 5th among Egyptian universities, where 749 universities from 92 countries worldwide were ranked, according to the British THE Interdisciplinary Science Ranking, first edition 2025, and achieved 151-200th globally in Veterinary Science and 301-400th globally in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and 401-500th globally in Agricultural Sciences, according to the Shanghai Ranking of Academic Subjects "Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, GRAS" for the year 2024. The university ranked 11th among Egyptian universities, and 1081st among world universities in the Leiden Open Ranking, where it achieved 8th place locally in Physical Science and Engineering Science, 11th place in Biomedical Science and Health Science, and 13th place in Life Science and Earth Science, and 15th place in Mathematical Science
