The Faculty of Early Childhood Education at Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, organized an awareness day on the benefits and importance of donating blood at the Industrial Education headquarters, under the supervision of Dr. Ibrahim Abdel Razek, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Hanaa Fouad Abdel Rahman, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in the presence of faculty members and students.
During the day, a blood donation campaign was organized in cooperation with the Blood Bank at the University Hospital and the Regional Blood Bank, where the campaign was coupled with a scientific symposium to spread awareness about the importance of donating blood and its benefits to the donor and the lack of impact of donation on his health condition. It also addressed the conditions and contraindications of blood donation and the necessary time intervals between each donation, which are three months for men and four months for women. The symposium also addressed the tests conducted on the donor, and the importance of ensuring the availability of a blood stock in blood banks in hospitals in order to save the lives of the injured and sick people.
