Beni Suef University participates in the launch of the third edition of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Festival

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the participation of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Institute in the activities of the third edition of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Festival, held over two days from September 30 to October 1 in Fayoum Governorate, in cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the Export Council, the Ministry of Investment, and the German Agency for Agricultural Innovation Giz Egypt. This was in the presence of Dr. Adel Gouda, Dean of the Institute, the Institute's vice deans, heads of scientific departments, and researchers, amidst the largest gathering of those interested in this field from the government sector, Egyptian companies, and leading countries in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants.

The University President explained that this festival aims to enhance cooperation between those interested and working in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants at the level of the government sector, companies, and leading countries in this field, with the participation of more than 5,000 visitors and 70 exhibitors, to exchange experiences on all the main axes that contribute to achieving the added value of the medicinal and aromatic plants chain and the contribution of scientific research in improving the stages of production, manufacturing, and export, reaching the final products of the medicinal and aromatic plants sector.

Dr. Adel expressed his happiness with the participation of the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in this festival, in addition to its participation in a workshop on the importance of scientific research and the added value of medicinal and aromatic plants from production and manufacturing to the final product according to the state’s strategic plan 2030.
