The Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at Beni Suef University welcomes the committee for the "Best Leading Faculty in Sustainable Development" competition.
- As part of Beni Suef University's commitment to supporting the principles of sustainability and enhancing its community role, the college welcomed the competition's evaluation committee.
The committee included:
- Professor Dr. Sama El-Daq – Dean of the Faculty of Advanced Studies
- Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abdel-Gawad – Former Dean of the Faculty of Earth Sciences
- Professor Dr. Mohamed Madi – Former Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts
- Professor Dr. Zein El-Abedin Abdel-Sattar – Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
- Ms. Intisar Mohamed – Director General of Environmental Projects
- The visit began with a welcoming meeting to review the college’s vision and strategy for integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into its implementation plan.
- Professor Dr. Ahmed Bahaa El-Din – Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development – ??presented a comprehensive overview that included the most prominent initiatives and activities:
- Launching the "Artificial Intelligence Awareness for All" initiative in several schools across the governorate (Al-Tawfiq, Alia Muhammad Tawfiq, Al-Diwan, and Salah Al-Din).
- Organizing an awareness event titled "No to Drugs and Digital Addiction."
- Signing a cooperation protocol with Al-Mustaqbal Technology Company and implementing 155 hours of practical training.
- Organizing workshops on technical training opportunities and supporting graduation projects, and introducing Huawei and Cisco academy programs.
- Scientific participation in the IEEE conference on the latest developments in artificial intelligence.
- Visiting the Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center.
- Holding a meeting with the management of Titan Cement Factory to discuss joint cooperation.
- The inspection tour included monitoring infrastructure development:
- Installing 16 fans in classrooms.
- Installing surveillance cameras in 12 classrooms.
- Maintaining restrooms and upgrading facilities to ensure a safe and sustainable learning environment.
- At the conclusion of the visit, the committee commended the college's efforts in integrating sustainable development concepts into the educational process and community activities, emphasizing that the college represents a distinguished model in supporting digital transformation and serving the community.
