Beni Suef University achieves outstanding success in the Times Higher Education Rankings 2026

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university has witnessed remarkable progress in the Times Higher Education 2026, achieving distinguished positions both locally and internationally. Locally, it ranked 6th in Medical and Health Sciences, 7th in Physical Sciences, and 11th in Life Sciences.
And for the first time, the first appearance in computer science.
On an international level, the university achieved a ranking of 601-800 in medical and health sciences, 801-1000 in computer science, 601-800 in engineering sciences, 601-800 in life sciences, and finally, in physical sciences, it achieved a ranking of 601-800.
The university president explained that the Times Higher Education refers to the ranking of universities in 11 fields such as computer science, medical and health sciences, and engineering. The evaluation methodology is based on standards of teaching, scientific research, and international outlook. The ranking is based on precise performance indicators in teaching, the research environment and its quality, and international outlook, and universities are compared in these fields.
The university president praised the efforts made to improve the university’s status and ranking within various classifications, and urged continued work on this file to put the university on the map of global competition in the field of educational services.
Dr. Samaa Al-Daq, Director of the International Ranking and Sustainable Development Office, indicated that the outstanding results achieved by the university positively reflect the steps taken by the university within the higher education and scientific research strategy and the application of the principle of international reference, which focuses on the importance of global rankings as a guiding tool that contributes to improving the performance of academic and research institutions with different countries of the world in line with Egypt’s vision for sustainable development 2030.
