The President of Beni Suef University attends the activities of the Conference on Supporting Mental and Community Health in cooperation with the Rotary Club

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, attended today the activities of the "Supporting Mental and Community Health" conference The event was organized by the university in cooperation with the Mental and Community Health Committee of the Rotary Club, and was attended by Dr. Hani Hamed, Dean of the Faculty of  Medicine, Dr. Hossam Farhat, Governor of the Rotary Club, Dr. Abdel Latif Hesham, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Heba Abdel Azim, Head of the Club's branch in Beni Suef, and Mr/ Mohamed Selim,-General   Secretary of the University, in addition to a group of faculty members and club members

The university president affirmed that the conference aims to highlight the importance of mental health as an integral part of public health, and to promote community awareness of the importance of psychological and social support. He emphasized that the university pays great attention to the mental health of its students and staff, believing that mental health is a fundamental pillar for achieving academic excellence and community stability. He also appreciated the fruitful cooperation with the Rotary Club, which reflects the spirit of community partnership in serving community issues

Dr. Hani Hamed pointed out that the conference represents an important scientific and community platform to discuss the psychological challenges facing individuals and ways to provide them with the necessary support. It also reflects the college’s commitment to its role in raising awareness and health education, and training medical personnel to deal with mental health issues effectively and humanely

Dr. Hossam Farhat expressed his pride in this collaboration, emphasizing that the club believes mental health is a shared societal responsibility. He also expressed his delight at the club's participation in this initiative, which aims to build a more informed society

At the end of the event, Dr. Tarek Ali and Dr. Hossam Farhat, the Rotary Governor, exchanged commemorative plaques in recognition of the fruitful cooperation between the two parties
