A faculty member at Beni Suef University wins the Sharjah Award for Library Literature in the

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced the victory of Dr. Abdel Rahman Ahmed Abdel Hadi Farag, a lecturer in the Department of Information Science at the Faculty of Arts the Sharjah Library Literature Award, in its 25th edition for 2024–2025, was awarded to Dr. Tariq for his research titled: "The Role of Libraries in Cultural and Creative Industries: Towards a Strategic Framework for Arab Libraries in the Age of Artificial Intelligence."
Dr. Tariq explained that this year's award theme was "Artificial Intelligence in Libraries: Innovation and Impact," emphasizing that the awarding of this prize to a member of the university's faculty reflects the distinguished academic and research standing of the university's scholars and their ability to produce rigorous scientific studies that keep pace with global developments in the field of information and library science
Dr. Tariq Ali also congratulated Dr. Abdul Rahman on this honorable scientific achievement, stressing that such successes are a strong addition to Beni Suef University, and reflect the success of its research policies that support creativity and innovation, wishing him continued success and more excellence in his academic and research career
He pointed out that the winning research addressed the role of artificial intelligence in developing the work system within libraries, and how to employ it in supporting cultural and creative industries, as it is a pivotal point that reshapes the tasks of the modern library and expands its societal and educational impact, while presenting a strategic vision that enhances the ability of Arab libraries to adapt to rapid digital transformations
