Beni Suef Faculty of Medicine announces the winners of the Student Research Unit competition

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Medicine announced the results of the Student Research Unit competition This was under the supervision of Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Hani Hamed El-Desouki, Dean of the College and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Dr. Samraa Hussein, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Sherine El-Husseini, Vice Dean of the College for Graduate Studies and Research, and with general organization by Dr. Ahmed Yahya, Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Immunology and Rheumatology
Dr. Tariq Ali explained that the announcement of the results came during a ceremony that reflected the level of development and research excellence among the college's students, as the students presented a number of distinguished scientific research papers that confirm their awareness of the importance of scientific research and its role in serving society and the medical system. He pointed out that the university pays great attention to student research activities, and aims not only to graduate professionally competent doctors, but also to prepare a "research doctor" who possesses modern scientific tools and is able to provide innovative solutions to contemporary health challenges, stressing that supporting student scientific research represents a real investment in the future
For his part, Dr. Hani Hamed delivered an encouraging message to the students, praising their efforts, discipline, and passion demonstrated throughout the competition. He emphasized that their positive competitive spirit and excellent organization reflect a commendable image of the medical students at Beni Suef University, and that the faculty will continue to provide them with full support to ensure their continued academic and research excellence
The competition results were as follows: Team Avengers won first place, receiving the competition shield and a cash prize of 1000 Egyptian pounds; Team Quadnexus came in second place, receiving a cash prize of 700 Egyptian pounds; and Team Candydates took third place, receiving a cash prize of 500 Egyptian pounds
The college also celebrated a distinguished achievement represented by a student research team publishing a scientific paper in an international Q1-ranked journal, which represents a scientific achievement that reflects the quality of the research environment within the college and the commitment to global standards in preparing and building scientific research, stressing its continued support for all initiatives that enhance the position of Beni Suef University on the research map locally and internationally
