Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, attended today the "Giving Back" symposium, which was organized by the General Administration of Youth Care in appreciation and gratitude for what Dr. Mansour has offered during his tenure as President of the University. The symposium was attended by Dr. Tarek Ali, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, artist Maged El Masry, director Mohamed Mubarak, deans of faculties, Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary General of the University, and Captain Tony Othman, Public Relations Manager at Titan Cement Group. The symposium was held under the supervision of Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director of the General Administration of Youth Care, and organized by Students for Egypt, with a remarkable presence of faculty members and students.
The symposium included a documentary film about Dr. Mansour, highlighting the achievements made under his leadership and the educational and administrative boom witnessed by the university in recent years. Captain Mohamed Farouk and Captain Tony Othman then delivered a speech praising Dr. Mansour, befitting his distinguished history and continuous giving. He is a prominent academic and administrative figure who has shouldered the mission of education and development with all sincerity and responsibility, setting a unique example in university leadership, supporting students, and constantly striving to create a high-quality academic and humanitarian environment. The event also featured a number of artistic and musical performances by university students.
For his part, Dr. Mansour welcomed the guests, thanking them for accepting the invitation and their eagerness to participate in presenting the symposium. He expressed his gratitude for this honor, emphasizing that the successes achieved would not have been possible without the cooperation of all members of the university, including professors, students, and employees. He also noted that this honor is for every individual at the university who contributed to building this great educational edifice through joint work and dedication to developing education, promoting scientific research, and building a generation of aware youth capable of facing the challenges of the future.
He emphasized the university's commitment to hosting prominent and influential public figures in society, to educate university students and raise their awareness in various aspects of life. He pointed out that the symposium highlights the extent to which art is linked to the development and formation of the human being, as human development is one of the most important pillars of community development through the dissemination of fine art. Art is also a key element in shaping an individual's personality and acquiring behavioral patterns through interaction with various forms of art.
Artist Maged El Masry expressed his happiness to be at Beni Suef University during the honoring of Dr. Mansour, as he represents a symbol and a scientific stature. He also spoke about the importance of culture and art as two of the most prominent tributaries in building nations. He pointed out that building awareness is one of the most important elements of development, noting that the role of art is to change society by highlighting the positives rather than the negatives in artistic works. The event also included an open dialogue between the students and artist Maged El Masry, which included many diverse questions from the students.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Mansour Hassan presented the university shield to artist Maged El Masry and director Ali Mubarak in appreciation of their keenness to participate in the symposium. Dr. Adel Abu Hashima, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Dr. Al- Hussein Dahshan, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Applied Health Sciences, also presented commemorative shields to Dr. Mansour, as he is a source of pride for Beni Suef University.
