Students of the Applied Sciences for Space and Navigation Program at Beni Suef National University visited the National Authority for Remote Sensing.

The Applied Sciences for Space and Navigation Program at Beni Suef National University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, organized a scientific visit to the headquarters of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences. The visit was supervised by Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Academic Vice President, Dr. Mamtaz Hegab, Dean of the Engineering, Basic and Applied Sciences Sector, and Dr. Mohamed Murad Abdel Rahman, Program Director. The delegation was received by Dr. Islam Abu Al-Majd, President of the Authority, with the participation of Dr. Nour El-Din Salem, Academic Advisor, and 42 first-year students.
Dr. Mansour explained that the visit comes within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the university and the Authority, with the aim of enabling students to learn about the latest applications of space technology and remote sensing, and the uses of satellite imagery in various fields, including agriculture, urban planning, and the study of environmental phenomena. The visit also included a tour of the Authority's laboratories, including the virtual reality lab, data analysis lab, and space lab, where students were introduced to the latest practical techniques in the field of sensing and space technology.
During the visit, it was agreed to launch training programs and grants specifically for the program's students, which will help hone their practical skills and prepare them for the job market in the fields of space and sensing.
Dr. Islam Abu El-Magd, Chairman of the Authority, expressed his appreciation for the university and its commitment to providing advanced educational experiences for its students, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in supporting academic excellence.
