A scientific day on DAAD funding opportunities and biotechnology at the Medicinal Plants Research Institute, Beni Suef University

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Institute organized a special scientific day on DAAD funding opportunities and biotechnology at the Faculty of Engineering.
The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Tariq Ali, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Adel Gouda, Dean of the Institute, and the college's vices dean. A large number of faculty members, students, and graduates were also in attendance.
The university president emphasized that the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants is a scientific institution specializing in the study and development of plants of medicinal and aromatic value, aiming to promote scientific and applied research in this vital field. The institute houses advanced laboratories for conducting scientific research, in addition to offering training and awareness programs for university students and researchers, with the goal of preparing qualified personnel in this specialty, making the institute a model of academic and research excellence in its field.
The scientific day included two important sessions. The first focused on DAAD funding opportunities for university students, graduates, and faculty members. The sessions reviewed the most prominent opportunities available from DAAD for all categories, including students, graduates, doctoral students, and postdoctoral researchers, as well as the most prominent opportunities available to support scientific research.
The second session included a symposium on Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology (MGBS), which addressed the latest applications and research in this field. Dr. Ahmed Salam, DAAD Ambassador and Professor of Genetics at Assiut University, lectured at the symposium.
The event witnessed significant interaction from attendees, who expressed their appreciation for this purposeful scientific initiative, which reflects the university's interest in developing scientific research and strengthening international academic cooperation.
