Beni Suef University Council honors two faculty members at the Faculty of Medicine for publishing a scientific paper in collaboration with researchers from 16 countries.

The Beni Suef University Council, headed by Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, honored Dr. Mahmoud Mahmoud Nour El-Din during its 244th session Dr. Mahmoud Mahmoud Nour El-Din and Dr. Aida Mohamed Saeed, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, in appreciation of their scientific efforts and excellence in the field of scientific research, and their publication of a scientific research entitled (Contribution of modern genetic mutations to the incidence of myelofibrosis) in the international scientific journal Nature, in collaboration with researchers at foreign universities from 16 countries around the world The event was attended by Dr. Tariq Ali, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, deans of faculties, and members of the council. The university president congratulated the researchers, wishing them continued excellence, especially since the research was conducted on a sample of 851 families from around the world. New, previously undiscovered genetic mutations were discovered, enabling the detection of a developmental defect in the spine and spinal cord that occurs in fetuses during pregnancy, known as spina bifida
