Visit of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine students to the Livestock Production Complex in Fayoum

Under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organized a field visit for the college students to the Livestock Production Complex in Youssef El-Siddiq City in Fayoum, affiliated with the Armed Forces. This was under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Abbas, Dean of the College, Dr. Arafa Mashraf, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Walaa Musalhi, Coordinator of Student Activities. The visit comes within the framework of introducing students to national projects to develop a spirit of loyalty and belonging.
The students inspected the integrated livestock production complex, which is located on an area of ??485 acres, and includes three farms for raising and fattening livestock, and an automated slaughterhouse consisting of two lines that was established according to the latest international systems and health and environmental requirements. The complex includes a number of dairy and meat product factories.
The complex also includes a scientific center for veterinary research and training on an area of ??13 thousand square meters, which includes a group of lecture halls and laboratories equipped for the benefit of the veterinary work system in the complex. It was designed and equipped to keep pace with scientific and technological progress in the fields of animal, poultry and fish production to advance livestock wealth.
For their part, the students expressed their happiness with the huge technological boom in the Livestock Production Complex, and the technical level therein through the latest devices and equipment in addition to the highly trained human cadres that are in line with the directions of the new republic and Egypt's vision towards sustainable development 2030.
