1261 male and female students ran for student union elections at Beni Suef University

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today the opening of nomination for student union elections at the university’s faculty level, with the number of applicants reaching 648 male students and 613 female students, bringing the total number of students wishing to run to 1,261.
The university president confirmed that the process of applying and nominating for student union elections took place in complete calm and was conducted in an atmosphere of transparency, integrity and justice, and did not witness any disturbances. The data registration process proceeded easily and smoothly, during which the youth care officials in the faculties provided all support to students wishing to nominate , amidst a large turnout of students as it is a democratic experience respects the system and the rules of competition.
He pointed out that the timetable approved by the Supreme Council of Universities indicates that the nomination period will open on November 14, the initial lists will be announced on November 17, appeals will be received the following day, the committee secretaries and their assistants will examine the appeals on November 19, the final lists will be announced on November 20, and the election campaign will begin on November 21. The first round of elections will be held on November 24, and the runoff round will be held on November 25. Then the elections of the secretaries of the student unions at the universities, committees and their assistants at the faculty level for the current academic year will be held on the 26th of the same month. The elections of the union president and deputy will be held on November 27.
