According to the Shanghai Ranking... Beni Suef University is among the top 500 in the world in veterinary, pharmaceutical and agricultural sciences

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that the university is among the top 500 universities in the world, as it achieved the 151-200th rank globally in veterinary sciences, the 301-400th rank globally in pharmaceutical sciences, and the 401-500th rank globally in agricultural sciences. That is according to the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) for the year 2024.
The university president added that the Shanghai Ranking of Academic Subjects is based on a number of indicators to measure performance which are the number of research papers published in influential journals in the first quarter (Q1), CNCI citation impact,  the ratio of citations to articles published on a subject to the average number of citations on that subject, the level of international collaboration, the number of articles published in the best journals in the academic discipline (TOP), and the important awards received by researchers at the faculty (AWARDS).
Dr. Sama El-Daq, Director of the International Classification and Sustainable Development Office, indicated that the university’s progress in various international classifications is due to positive measures during the past period, the most important of it are supporting the university’s scientific research and supporting researchers, training in international publishing, in addition to what the university does to encourage researchers at all academic levels to publish in distinguished international journals, making information sources available to researchers via the Internet, and cooperating with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.
