Launching of the "100 Days of Sports" initiative at the Faculty of Special Needs Sciences, Beni Suef University

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Special Needs Sciences organized the 100 Days of Sports Initiative. This was under the supervision of Dr. Walid Farouk, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mohamed Ajwa, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Student Affairs and Education, Dr. Haitham Galal, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Environmental Service and Community Affairs, and Dr. Ashraf Salah, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, in the presence of faculty members and students.
Dr. Mansour explained that the aim of the initiative is community participation with a group of children with special needs and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This is in light of the political leadership's interest in the "Able Differently" file, and working to provide all forms of support to integrate people with disabilities into society. A group of them were honored with the Sports Excellence Award during the sports activities competitions within the day's events, which included many student activities including a volleyball match, basketball, football, speed ball, table tennis match, a marathon, an arrow shooting device, a walker without electricity, psychomotor training, visual motor coordination, color recognition, vestibular and balance skills, and the development of small and large motor skills such as planting trees, and small individual games.
