Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Early Childhood Education organized a symposium entitled "The impact of social media on health and society from a religious and scientific perspective", under the supervision of Dr. Ibrahim Abdel Razek Ahmed, Dean of the College, and Dr. Hanaa Fouad Ali, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Siddiq Al-Hawari, Assistant Secretary-General for Preaching and Religious Media at the Islamic Research Complex, and His Eminence Sheikh Reda Mohamed Abdel Halim

The symposium addressed the negative effects of social media from a psychiatric perspective on health and how to respond to them. The extent of its impact on the behavior of individuals and societies and its serious harms, and the resulting of separation from society and isolation, in addition to spreading many misconceptions
