Beni Suef University participates in the Second International Conference on Deep Space Exploration at the invitation of the Chinese Space Agency

The Faculty of Navigation Science and Space Technology at Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, participated in the Second International Conference on Deep Space Exploration, known as the Tiandu Forum, in the Chinese city of Huangshan, at the invitation of the Chinese Space Agency, in the presence of Dr. Osama Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty, participation in the conference, which was held from September 3-7, aims to enhance the transfer of technology and modern teaching methods of space communications science and technology to Egypt and Beni Suef University, in order to open up horizons for research and academic cooperation between Egypt and China.
Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the participation of the  university in this conference comes within its continuous efforts to achieve its strategic goals by establishing regional and international cooperative relations with space agencies and technical, industrial and research institutions active in the field of space sciences and technologies, in addition to preparing qualified human cadres from the college graduates with leading and distinguished scientific levels, China has announced its readiness to launch its upcoming mission  Tianwen-3 around 2028, with the goal of collecting samples from Mars and returning them to earth, launching from the planet, and completing the rendezvous and docking process in Mars orbit before returning to Earth. This international approach is expected to enhance global cooperation in deep space exploration and further scientific progress.
Dr. Osama Shalaby also expressed his happiness and pride to participate in the conference with many African experts who expressed their enthusiasm to join the ILRS (International Lunar Research Station) program, an international initiative that aims to build an international lunar research station run by China. This program brings together global efforts in exploring deep space to enhance international cooperation in space exploration and develop the technology needed to research and live on the moon.
