Beni Suef University launches a comprehensive convoy to the village of Beni Adi, included in the presidential initiative “ Decent Life”

Beni Suef University, under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, and the supervision of Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, today launched a comprehensive convoy to the village of Beni Adi in Nasser Center, which is included within the presidential initiative “ Decent Life” launched by His Excellency President of the Republic to improve the standard of life for the most needy societal groups, and also within the framework of cooperation with civil society organizations, providing and supporting health services, improving the standard of living, and providing the medical services needed by citizens, especially unable ones.

Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the community service sector participated in the activities of “You Are Life” initiative launched by the Decent Life Foundation, through the comprehensive caravan that was organized with the participation of the faculties of Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Nursing, and in cooperation with the Decent Life Foundation and with the participation of the preaching area of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in Beni Suef. 1,836 cases were examined in medical clinics in various specialties, including pediatric clinics, ophthalmia, internal medicine, women’s clinics, ear, nose and throat clinics, general surgery, and physical therapy, in addition to cases of measuring blood pressure, diabetes, and oxygen levels. Free treatment was provided to 1,115 cases, and transferring cases that required follow-up to the university hospital.
Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi added that a group of awareness, educational and religious seminars were held on various topics, including early detection of breast diseases, spinal problems and prevention methods, health awareness about the use of mobile phones and their damage to the nerves, first aid and personal hygiene. A religious symposium was also held on the importance of family bonding and confronting illegal immigration, the problems related to population increase.
