Beni Suef University continues its progress and achieves 10th place locally and 1109th globally in the Dutch Leiden classification

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the continuation of excellence in all international classifications, as the university succeeded It achieved 10th place locally and 1109th place globally in the Dutch CWTS-Leiden classification for the year 2024, out of 1506 international universities, 43 African universities, and 15 Egyptian universities.
The university president explained that the classification included achieving 9th place in physical and engineering sciences, 10th place in medical biosciences and health sciences, and 11th place in life sciences and earth sciences, praising the efforts made to improve the international classification in a way that reflects the university’s progress over all international classifications for the advancement of the scientific research system. This is clearly reflected in achieving the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030, explaining that the classification depends on international publication in the Clarivate database, the extent of its reference, and the value of international cooperation to produce it
Dr. Sama Al-Daq, Director of the International Classification and Sustainable Development Office, indicated that the university’s distinction in international classifications is due to concerted efforts in addition to good management, as well as the efforts of researchers in all fields in terms of the number of research, patents, international participation, and also qualitative citations in various fields
